Chi Hyun Kim obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics at the University of Bonn. In 2015, she started her PhD at the Chair of Monetary Economics at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, where she also worked as a research associate. Since 2018, she joined the DIW Berlin and the DIW Berlin Graduate Center as a Research Associate and finished her PhD in 2021. During her PhD, she was also a research associate at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH Halle) and a visiting scholar at the Economics Department of the University of Michigan.

Her research interests include Empirical Monetary Economics, Macro-Finance, and Household Finance.
